Franklin Amerigo Taddeo

Born May 11, 1933 – Went to be with our Lord on Friday, January 24, 2025 

Franklin Amerigo Taddeo, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on May 11, 1933, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he lived a life marked by service, creativity, and devout faith. 

A proud Army veteran, Franklin served during the Korean War and was stationed in Japan, where he developed a deep appreciation for different cultures. He later earned an degree and embarked on a successful career as an industrial engineer, working with U.S. Steel and eventually owning a construction and asphalt company. When he was not working, he embraced his passion for writing, known for his engaging romance and mystery writings. 

Franklin was a devoted Christian, finding peace and strength in his faith. He cherished his time spent at church and amongst friends, touching the lives of many with his kindness and generosity. Franklin loved nature, often found sitting outside surrounded by his cherished flowers, enjoying the simple beauty of life. 

He is survived by his son James Taddeo, daughter Linda Morrow, and grandchildren Elizabeth and Eric Taddeo, as well as great-grandchildren Aidien and Emerson Taddeo. He is also survived by his sister Amelia Cinowalt, brother Ernest Taddeo, and several nieces and nephews, including Deborah (Joe) Strong-Caldwell, Iris Bandini, Cynthia (Jeff) DiLucia, Kimberly (Mark) Lippl, Melissa (Steve) Barclay, Kelly (Brenda) Taddeo and Marsha McElrath; as well as many other nieces, nephews and friends. 

Franklin was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Taddeo; his parents, Berardino and Elsie Taddeo; and his sisters, Gloria Taddeo and Genevieve McElrath
